Hello
I'm looking for someone to practice Mandarin Chinese (普通话) with.
I want to learn/know enough before my boyfriend's next birthday [March 22] as a surprise, but I just have a hard time keeping focus while learning on my own. Message me if interested! :saint:
I use Drop and Duolingo right now.

I have been practicing for a couple weeks now! I can remember how to say 'Hello' and some of the numbers on my own so far.

I expect to know enough to make conversation (if needed) with his family members if I ever meet them.
His birthday is more of a goal date right now.

YouTube is your best bet, once you more familiar with the language, you can start listening to songs that helps memorizing.

Fabulo / Hallberg Ryman AB, MetaLanguage, Duolingo is a great help and guide to learn the language.
YouTube is the definitive option to listen, learn and become familiar with the different languages, try to listen, memorize the song "happy birthday", the song of your choice in Mandarin Chinese so you can sing it on that important day, cook their favorite food or decorate a cake by writing " 祝 生日 快乐! ".

I'm here temporarily, but I'm not from here. While higher your frequency, higher will be your conscience.

id just take private lessons. a yr with a tutor will get you to conversant levels. look for exchange students willing to do them for next to nothing.
